Gratitude journal: use prompts
“Think about people, places, moments, things.”
So, lemme think about people… Oh, ran into an acquaintance. Had a five-minute chat. Shared memories of simpler times. Remained civil. Social interaction level up.
“Who are you thankful for?”
Emil, the dog person, obviously.
“How can you show appreciation to those who support you?“
Patted Emil. He was pleased.
“Who helped you today?”
Automated chatbot.
“Who makes you laugh?”
Old friends with their old jokes.
“Who are the people in your life you can rely on?“
Dogs count? Emil is always there. (Cause I control the food supply.)
“How can you show gratitude to people around you?”
Send a meme? Maybe it’s time to reconnect with family. Or at least respond to their texts.
“Think about places. Where did you feel calm?”
On the couch in the kitchen.
“Where did you have fun?”
Took Emil to the park. Fresh air, happy dog. He made a new dog friend.
